- hmmm...what shall I tell you. I am 35+ Indian born female, been in the US for way too long, and married to a fabulous European guy and raising my very Texan kids,now living close to the Mexican border. So I am glad to see this website where we get to know (and hopefully understand) people beyond the issue of race and ethnicity.
I love life, and my family. Been through a lot, but have finally found my groove and am very great full. I am very opinionated and love a heated debate. At the same time, I also like to know and learn about others and their opinions as well. Hope to meet some like minded people and make some new friends.

that's sad your folks are not supportive of your partner, I haven't told mine yet :( I know they will hit the roof! I did tell my older sisters and they were very disappointed, I was quite shocked by their response and their level of racism.
I met my White American partner while working abroad, he will hopefully come to the UK for a year or so, depending on how my family take it all and then most likely move to Texas as his folks are in Brownsville. They are very supportive as I visited in January and I would prefer to have some family rather than none.
Are you accepted on his side of the family? It's usually the Indian side that is still sadly backwards :(
But I'm sure it will change some day :)

How has it been living in Texas in a mixed marriage? My partner and I will most likely end up living in Texas. When I visited we were on the border of Brownsville and Mexico but I quite likes San Antonio.
